Get a jump start on your 2020 referee season. Take your skills to the next level. Participate in the largest youth and high school rugby tournament in the Western Hemisphere!
The KOT Referee Training Program (Friday, Feb 21, starting 5pm) presents a unique opportunity the day before the tourney. Friday evening we will discuss the skill building opportunities ahead, including on-field work and coaching under top referees from the U.S. and Canada. And stress free!
Our International Referee Development Program is the perfect bridge between Level 1 certification and success on the field.
You will be able to discuss new laws and the updated concussion protocol.
Our ref coaches will take you from pre-match communication to the subtleties of advantage, with focus on best practices for refereeing the breakdown, scrums and line-outs. You’ll be able to ask questions and get instant feedback.
Then get your kit on for two days on the pitches at Cordova High (tournament ref jersey and matching socks provided). You’ll be in the company of 50 referee colleagues and more than a dozen coaches on Saturday and Sunday, February 22 and 23. The tourney is sponsored by the Sacramento Valley Rugby Foundation. Stay over Saturday night and attend a nice hosted ref gathering that evening. Billeting and discounted hotel rooms are available, just ask!
