SVRF WEBSITE PRIVACY POLICY - OUR COMMITMENT TO PRIVACY

 

The SVRF Privacy Policy was developed as an extension of our commitment to highest level of integrity in dealing with our rugby activities and everyone we deal with. The policy is intended to help you understand how we use and safeguard the personal information you provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our site.

 

What information do we collect?

When you visit our website we only collect personal information you knowingly choose to disclose that is collected on an individual basis.

 

Personal information you choose to provide:

Credit card information

This section applies when online credit card payment options are available for making reservations or payments. If you choose to purchase vacation time from us you may be asked to give personal information and authorization to obtain information from various credit services. For example, you may need to provide the following information:

Name            Mailing address     E-mail address      Home and business phone number       Credit card number      Other personal information (for example, your mother's maiden name)

 

E-mail information

If you choose to correspond further with us through e-mail, we may retain the content of your e-mail messages together with your e-mail address and our responses. We provide the same protections for these electronic communications that we employ in the maintenance of information received by mail and telephone.

 

Website use information -  WE DON’T COLLECT IT!

Unlike many other commercial websites, our site DOES NOT utilize a standard technology called "cookies"  and web server logs to collect information about how you use our  website.

 

How we use the information that you provide to us

Broadly speaking, we use personal information for purposes of administering our business transactions with you and ensuring we provide the best  Rugby Related experience possible. We may occasionally follow up to ask for endorsements and for introductions to others in your circle of friends who may be interested in SVRF services.

 

Sharing information with affiliates - WE DON’T DO IT!

We are a not for profit business and do not have any affiliates to share with. If we were to change to position where we have affiliates to share and found a valid business reason to share information with we would amend this policy and would notify you of the change and seek acceptance of the  new policy  and your permission to share any contact information we may hold.  No information will ever be shared without your approval.

 

Sharing of information with third parties - WE DON’T DO IT!

We do not sell, trade or disclose to third parties any of your customer identifiable information derived from from the use of the SVRF website, including customer names and addresses (except as required by subpoena, search warrant or other legal process, or to help you in the case of potential harm to you or members of your household, or in other exceptional cases where we conclude in our discretion that such disclosure would be beneficial to you. Again, we seek to comply with all applicable laws, rules and regulations in this area.

 

Some of the pages on our site may contain links to other sites and to other companies. When you click on those links, you will be connected to pages that are on another site, operated by another entity, and not subject to SVRF site policies. If you do business with one of these other companies, you will be providing information directly to that firm, and your relationship will be exclusively with that firm, not with SVRF. Any information you provide to that firm will be subject to their information disclosure and other policies. We cannot make any representations about the practices and policies of those companies, and we do not warrant their products or services.

Notice of new services and changes

Occasionally, we may also use the information we collect to notify you about important changes to our website, new services and special offers we think you will find valuable.

As our customer, you will be given the opportunity to indicate whether or not you wish to receive these offers if or when you register for an online account. If you change your mind later, your account preferences will be available through your online account and can be adjusted at any time.

 

How do we secure information transmissions?

At this time we are not asking for confidential personal credit card information be entered on our website, if at some time in the future we find sufficient demand calling for us to include this service we will include a secure server software which will encrypts all information you input before it is delivered to us.  Other e-mail that you send us may not be secure unless we advise you that security measures will be in place prior to your transmitting the information. For that reason, we ask that you do not send confidential information such as social security or account numbers to us through an unsecured e-mail.

 

How do we protect your information?

Information security - Once received the limited information we hold is stored on a secure server behind our firewall.

Financial Transactions Online - For your protection at this time we only accept PayPal payments online.

Employee access, training and expectations  Our corporate values, ethical standards, policies and practices are committed to the protection of customer information as described in this policy. In general, our business practices limit employee access to confidential information, and limit the use and disclosure of such information to authorized persons, processes and transactions.

 

How can you be sure that we have your correct  information?

Periodically we may contact you to enquire whether the your information held by us is up to date and correct. A return email with corrections with always ensure your data is accurate, if you do not respond we will assume there are no changes to your information. You may  contact us at any time to update your information, and at any time after 180 days after your last completed transaction we will remove all of your information at your request where this is consistent with any applicable laws concerning data retention.

 

Do we disclose information to outside parties? - NO

 

What about legally compelled disclosure of information?

We may disclose information when legally responsible to do so: under court or legal order, or when we, in good faith, believe that the law requires it for the protection of our legal rights.

 

What about other websites linked to our website?

We are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from our website nor the information or content contained therein. Often links to other websites are provided solely as pointers to information on topics that may be useful or of interest to the users of our website.
