Brothers). Read about the game and see highlights of the game.
If you are new to rugby, take a few minutes to watch the video clip to the left. This will give you an introduction to the game that we “ruggers” have come to love. If that has peaked your interests and you want to learn a bit more about the basics, to watch the IRB Playing Charter, Click here! Also you could visit the Australian web site Rugby.Com.Au
In the Sacramento Region the Sacramento Rugby Foundation is the focus for growing our sport. We manage a number of events, including our annual High School Kick Off Tournament, with 96 teams from the western USA taking part. For 2010 we anticipate participants from even further away including Canadian teams. The 2010 KOT will be held 29-31 Jan at the Granite Regional Park. Additionally, last summer we held our first high school “sevens” tournament, something we expect to become an annual summer festival of great high school seven a side rugby. We know Rugby is a great sport for all. Boys and girls, men and women, old and young. In this region we have players as young as 7 and as old as 70.
In partnership with USA Rugby we sponsor clinics and training sessions for coaches and referees and we expect to add introduction to rugby courses for young “wannabee ruggers” in the not too distant future.
